It's necessary to convert legacy decals to ones compatible with the upcoming #DECALmachine release for #b3d 2.80. This can now be done with a single button press per decal library. The decal experience in eevee is just something else. And these aren't even projected yet.

In #DECALmachine 1.8+ you can easily select an object's decals by double clicking it. In 1.9 you'll be able to just as easily select decals or the same kind as the selected one - per decal parent or across all visible objects. Simple, but very effective and convenient. #b3d
