he’s such an incredible innovator. everything could’ve ended with the beatles, but instead, he adapted/adapts his sound to create contemporary music for every era. and he does it SO WELL. that takes pure genius.

i admire john lennon, not for the deity that others have portrayed him to be, but for the person he self-admittedly was. he was raw. he harbored a lot of pain and anger, showing the world that to feel is to be human. he struggled. he loved fiercely. he was real. and he let us in.
