I have been thinking. Maybe the collapse of Truss's voodoo budget is even more important than people realise? "But it is huge!", you cry, "biggest story since the fall of Boris!" Yup - I think it may be bigger than that. Way bigger. Here is what I am thinking... 1/

Brace for mega thread on "ALL THEM RULES INNIT" There is a type of of brexiter who is motivated not by xenophobia, or Empire nostalgia, or buccaneering trade fantasies, but instead by "all them EU rules". Sadly they can never name a single one. So I have done some research...

People are finding Farage's banking problems funny. They don't realise what is happening: there is something in his financial affairs that means no bank will touch him. Farage is desperately trying to get out in front of a story, like Matt Elliot when he was found guilty. 1/

The true story of the UK's vaccine rollout is hiding in plain sight: 1. In 2020 the UK approved and procured 40M doses of Pfizer and 100M of AZ all under EU rules. 2. From 7th December 2020 until 7th April 21, the UK did indeed have the fastest rollout in Europe. But then...

As they stand here, on the scorched earth of 2020's Britain - among the devastation THEY wrought - the ERG have just seen the reason for it all vanish before their eyes, Napoleon gazing upon Moscow in flames. I hear that IEA jihadi Truss is depressed. I'm not surprised. 11/11

Something doesn't add up. There have been 93M tests to date. £37Bn equates to £400 per test. Track and Trace employed around 20,000 staff. £37Bn equates to £1.85M per staff member. These numbers make no sense. What WAS the £37Bn spent on?... Or who?

We know now, beyond any doubt, that Brexit has caused a £40-50Bn a year hole in tax revenue. This needs a package of tax rises and spending cuts 2.5 to 3.5 times tbe Osborne (£16Bn a year) austerity. And it never ends until brexit ends. Eventually we must confront this reality.

@Dominic2306 The opinion of the British is of no consequence anymore - your Brexit reduced us from most influencial country in Europe, & 2nd in World, to 28th in Europe & 33rd in World, overnight. Why would Putin even bother influencing our opinion now?

I am thinking of starting a crowd funder to bribe Tory MPs to act in the interests of the UK instead of acting for foreign companies and state actors against the interests of the UK... Who will chip in?

A modest proposal: Around 2/3rds of Britain's over-65's voted for Brexit, whereas around 7/8ths of its under-65's did not. But somehow the over-65's are largely unaffected by Brexit, whereas the under-65's have seen Brexit destroy their incomes, businesses and dreams. 1/

So then in early April 21 HMG levelled with the population, saying " Sorry. We cocked up. We ordered a load of AZ; we gambled and lost. We have ordered 60M extra Pfizer but, because of Brexit, it will take 5 months." Only kidding - did they heck! Instead, they...

Strongest "not Tory" in my constituency is Labour, so I am voting for her. This is the UK's 1933 moment. I don't want to be like one of the Germans who voted for Hitler and had to carry that guilt and shame for the rest of their lives.

Without access to the truth - unspun facts - we cannot have democracy. And without a functioning, impartial BBC, we cannot have such access - the Billionaire owned press is a lost cause - therefore the BBC MUST be fixed. It must be investigated and repaired. It simply must. 8/8

@FraserNelson Just about every country in the world is a member of its regional trade bloc... except the UK, Iran, Mongolia, North Korea and a couple of African states. It isn't rocket science Frasier: our burger van ain't selling burgers coz it's still parked on our drive.

@SebastianEPayne The great irony is @Keir_Starmer cannot call Johnson a liar in the HOC but could do so outside without any consequences whatsoever, whereas Johnson says things inside the House that he wouldn't DARE repeat outside the chamber.

Dot 5. Despite losing £30M a year and attracting fewer viewers in a month than Gardiners World does per episode, GB News pays, or has paid, generous salaries to the likes of; Rees Mogg, 30p Lee, Andrew Neil, Farage, Portillo, Pierce, Wooton, Stewart, Grimes. Brexiters. 5/

This was potentially hugely embarassing for HMG and for Brexit: a) The Great British vaccine, AZ, was effectively contraindicated, leaving us dependent on EU Pfizer. b) The 60M doses procured now under Brexit rules were going to take 5 months, whereas had we been part of...

And the BBC was the ace up the Brexit faction's sleeve; it prostituted its hundred year reputation to lend credibility to a carnival of clowns and cranks, treating them with solemn respect when they should have been laughed out of the studio - or never invited in. 4/
