First we harnessed the power of clouds. Giving us the ability to fly along with storing them in vials so that we could use them as a cushion and protect us from falls. But we suffer from the human condition and someone learned how to hurt with them. Nimbus clouds were perfect for throwing a punch. They were heavy then highly concentrated to because even more dense. That progressed to bolt discipline, we had done what no other human had in history. We could control lightning. It was a troublesome time. Constant war for power. There was no end in sight. Then came the earth-dwellers. Unrefined, dirty, and nothing like the sky dwellers. They had their flying machines. But we could do that already so it wasn’t very impressive. As the civil war ranged on, the earth-dwellers sunk our sky islands one by one, they slowly reclaimed their stolen land.
