It's wedding season back home. Attended 3 weddings last month. 55 year old uncles keep getting too drunk and pulling too much attention to themselves and even getting into fights … as always. They annoying me yes. But they're the last generation of dudes with testosterone.

As you inch towards middle age and leave youth behind (happens around age 35) … new goals start animating your psyche. My new obession in life lately has been living life in "'Mask off" mode I'm probably 7-10 years away from that As much as I hate rap … Future had a point.

A hobby is supposed to be the exact opposite … a waste of time and money yet something you truly enjoy. An endeveaour that you love yet DON'T take seriously. The problem is making your hobby your life and personality. That makes it serious. Life is serious enough.
The best hobbies are the ones that have utility: - Cooking - Fighting - Training - Writing Skills that make life better. You don't have to feel bad about dedicating time to them because they have tangible ROI. They serve a purpose outside of fulfillment & creative expression. Even if you stop pursuing these seriously, you still reap their benefit in multiple areas of life. Contrast this with guitar or painting. Great hobbies but hard to justify when the going gets tough.

As a man… Real friendships are almost impossible to cultivate once you're past the age of 27-29 at the latest. Childhood, teenage and early twenties friendships are pure. Not based on financial, aspirational or work relationships. Everything else is a contract.

Walked home today and counted … not kidding … 8 pillows on my couch. They seem to be reproducing. Are couches meant for people or are they just stands for pillows? Were are niggas gonna sit? Gonna call out my wife. I don't understand women.

@Ordainedchaos When I was 8 my father got home from work angry as hell over some nonsense. Full suit, tie and millions in debt. My brother and I eating Genfo. He slapped the shit out of my brother calling genfo "ye set megib" Haven't ate Genfo since. He's not dead become he lives through us.
