@Lhikevikk @DaleKingston3 @BitecoferStan Minnesota has much better demographics for Democrats than any Midwestern state though. Republicans have nearly maximized in rurals while Democrats still have plenty of room to gain in Twin Cities suburbs (which are becoming an increasingly large proportion of the population).

@LinkofSunshine @Can_of_Memes isn’t that interest as a percent of GDP? i believe the interest as a percentage of federal spending is closer to 15%.

@saturn0122 @Punished_Jess or if the Biden administration had a magic button that could have stopped the 7% inflation that led to an inevitable loss for incumbents globally

@Alexei19381 @ElTetarr Florida voted marginally to the left of Iowa, so if universal swing was applied to get the Selzer result, Florida would also have been D+3.

@Speeding_m @TheRoot57252511 @LinkofSunshine i believe the president appoints the PM (but they appoint whoever can form a governing coalition). it's a semi-presidential republic, similar to France. the PM is the head of government and does most governing, although the president has veto power.

@RustBeltConlib science was probably my worst in school out of these four, the other three were generally even. math was somehow my worst ACT section though.

@BruneElections @maxtmcc thresholds can help with this to some extent, but they also introduce strategic voting and vote spoiling back in which defeats the purpose to some extent.

@umichvoter @CryptoIsGreat why would a solid Democratic state want to potentially give up their position though? it’s better to win an absolute majority than to have to coalition.

@sycamoressource @USA_Polling NYP is genuinely the most reliable news source on the new list. it’s honestly impressive.

@ProgressiveEmma @ThePoliticalHQ maybe not a landslide but Vance is still a favorite unless Trump’s term goes horrifically badly (which, to be fair, if the current trajectory continues…)

@LDG42 @KGG1701 @slewandredeye @BestPixMN they’re ruining our status as a global superpower and I’m sure Xi could not be more happy with their performance.
