I wish we had more control over townie generation and the world. Townies by default look like clowns, using the same bleach-pink skin tones, random hair colors and the worst outfits
Setting townie jobs would be cool (so we can have a specific maid for storytelling like in TS2)

Sims 4 needs Lifetime Wishes back or an overhaul to all Aspirations to be singular goals.
I'm tired of having wants & fears (as crappy as they are), event goals, holidays and aspiration mini goals to keep up with.

I also would like to see options to limit sims from other worlds, I think a traits system for neighbourhoods could really help with customization especially with more and more packs (since maxis won't update old worlds with pack content, let us do it ourselves)

If you wanna build the lots from city living/discover university/eco lifestyle/lovestruck, my mod Unlocked Apartment Shells on Mod The Sims unlocks them and makes them functional outside their worlds as any lot type (if you have For Rent you can turn them into real apartments)

There is also a feature where players can choose to only download Sims they’ve favorited. If there is a Sim that includes content that the player does not have installed, the Sim will not show up in their Cupid’s Corner.

when you change the lot tuning you get the lots back! very cool to look at (but probably corrupts save lol)
