@LetsSaveTheWest @JSandlak19 @muskokaSE @arpan_on_BC What in your mind makes them Canadian then? Our laws say they are. The vast majority of Canadians agree with those laws. You want to try and repeal the Canadian Citizenship Act? Good luck with that.

@ChesterM222 @dagger1977 @Pools_Point So, just to be clear, you think it would be okay for an NHL centre to win ~15% of faceoffs over a substantial sample? Not 45% vs 55%, but 15%? Thats 🍌.

@ChesterM222 @dagger1977 @Pools_Point But those few matter. That’s the point. End of game, PK draw, etc. Having a % edge in those meaningful faceoffs is a useful skill.

@Pools_Point @ChesterM222 @dagger1977 Yeah this. And having a 10% better chance of winning that draw is a useful tool.

@ChesterM222 @dagger1977 @Pools_Point Sure, 1-2% doesn’t make much difference. This is all in reference to Petey’s 16% though, right? That level of getting caved makes a difference, even over a game.

@ChesterM222 @dagger1977 @Pools_Point Here’s a paper that discusses this. I think it’s also where your numbers from the 2017-2018 season come from. It’s a good read.

@Pools_Point @ChesterM222 Also, not all faceoffs are created equal. The opening draw is largely meaningless, as are many neutral zone draws. They drown the sample. A defensive zone faceoff on the PK in a close game is incredibly important.

@mirtle @shaynagoldman_ Growing the game in a country with a huge population base. The days of Canadian dominance are likely over.

@darral27 @MAGACult2 Sort of, but not really. Crown land is ~90% of Canada, but a) it isn’t owned by any individual, but rather the monarchy as a whole (and cannot be sold, used, given, etc. by any king or queen); and b) mgmt of crown land is exclusively the right of the govt (feds and profs).
