@CoreyWriting To be fair, he’s not talking about rap music, but the commentary on “40acres & a mule”. He’s saying that he’d be willing to pay any reparation to no longer suffer the guilt of slavery; but also recognizes that it would be a meaningless gesture that would not end black indignation

@RockChartrand lol, yeh, unfortunately. In a conflict between two rights-infringing nations, individuals surely aren't the winners.

@upstatefederlst But I agree w/ your sentiment. Almost all YA & kids books now are infested w/ some of the most evil & destructive ideology imaginable -- specifically aimed at emasculating boys.

Imagine thinking it doesn't suffice. Spoiler: it means you can never know anything & nothing can be proven to be real.
Imagine thinking that trivial tautologies such as "existence exists" or "consciousness is conscious" suffice as a sufficient metaphysical foundation for a "philosophical" system.

This bill needs to be aggressively fought
Wow. Congress just tabled a bill that would *actually* kill open-source. This is easily the most aggressive legislative action on AI—and it was proposed by the GOP senator who slammed @finkd for Llama. Here's how it works, and why it's different to anything before it.

@BasedBeffJezos This is not a particularly well thought out take. We don’t really have a reason to disbelieve the $5mil. number other than “china” To say that it’s totally bogus is to imply that either algorithmic optimizations can’t happen, or China simply can’t do it; both of which are naive.

@BasedBeffJezos r1 is pretty easily beatable. We are intentionally hamstringing ourselves. The path to victory: deregulate, drop discriminatory hiring practices, throw "safety training" in the trash bin where it belongs, & mock viciously those who tell you to do otherwise.

@CoreyWriting You shouldn’t be proud of your race or heritage because the past & your birth are not a result of your actions; similarly, you should not feel shame for something you took no part in.

@thevivafrei Adam’s position is the correct one to take; the burden of proof is indeed on you — & no, your argument does not clear it; you’re arguing from ignorance; ie your conclusion is based on subjective intuition (complex things must have creators) rather than logical necessity.
