Ever since my first experience of Evensong, I’ve found the words of this collect so comforting. Yesterday’s broadcast by the amazing @pembrokechoir was my first ever time hearing this piece - directed by @annalapwood who always brings my music to life so beautifully!❤️

Thank you @ChoirSepulchre @aspreypeter for commissioning this new St Cecilia’s Day introit! I loved exploring a new, more contrapuntal style with this piece. Feeling proud looking back at how much I’ve learned since my first commission, in 2021, which was also for Holy Sepulchre!

3/3 This has been one of my favourite ever projects. I worked mostly without a piano and enjoyed focussing on crafting the harmonies. As always, @stmartinsvoices have perfectly realised the music I imagined. Listen on BBC Sounds, and the music will be available in 2025! ❤️🎧
