This brings up a lot of thoughts and feelings and memories of comments from people about my expectation that kids would read at least one book in my class.
“Adults have lowered the bar for how much you should read as a teenager so far that the bar cannot be found. There are many educators who have the mindset that you shouldn't teach whole books because kids just won't read them.”

One of my favourite parts of the summer - ULearn starts today! I can't make it to all the sessions I had hoped to, but I'm looking forward to learning from fellow educators this week and seeing it impact my practice. #Ulearn2024

Love the week when I interview students about their passion projects! Today I've learned about movie reviews, making no-bake cheese cake, the impact of being a preemie on the life of a person, making blown glass jewelry and more! #lovelearning #studentteachingtheteacher

@Harriet_Wimsey @CraigBaird I agree completely. I was thrilled to see it listed in this competition - but then seeing what it's against in the first round was disappointed. It's such a good show!
