Nazis invade Polish village 1942. My gt aunt Helena grabs silver &gives to catholic neighbour for safekeeping,she’s taken to a death camp,he stores it for 65yrs, til historian finds my family. We meet man in Krakow age 102.Silver returned. He dies 4mo later. #tellastoryinonetweet

I have just discovered that my great grandmother - who I previously thought had been killed in Majdanek concentration camp - was in fact shot dead trying to escape Poland’s Radom ghetto in 1942. A lot to process. #RadomGhetto
