right now i think silksong stands at an 8.5 to me, im honestly very welcome to the higher damaging enemies, the different crests, the movement, and a handful of the bosses. it stands great as both a sequel that expands upon its predecessor and a standalone title

just, damn. this game can often get weirdly difficult to get through, not really in the fun kind of way such as retrying against a boss or adapting towards various different enemies/obstacles 😓

whispering vaults, which is needed in order to get another ending. you’d have to explore EVERY inch of the map with sometimes vague hints in order to initiate the twisted bud questline with no help

maybe its just me but im not really a fan of the overabundance of collapsable walls that lead to secret locations in silksong if you miss one, you’re never going to find it again without a guide, no real human is going to naturally find out that you can go to bilewater from-

guys is it good game design for a metroidvania to have one time quests with its one time rewards being the game's currency that you can permanently lose if you happen to die twice without storing it
