@0x94305 i was more thinking 'omg what do you mean your 2nd grade class didn't have their own currency to stake, how else could they buy chocolate milk for the class?' so many possibilities tho 😭

imo the best part of research is applying it on that theme, thrilled to announce that I’ve joined @clankeronbase as a protocol engineer! 🌱✨ committed to both community sustainability and making eth fun, i’m excited to work on app value retention with such a stellar team ❤️🔥❤️🔥

@TimBeiko Not onchain, but: analyze a uniswap pool's LP activity to see where the fees from the pool flow. They'll get to: - figure out how to index a chain or use Dune (data!) - get exposed to different chain participants (retail swappers, arbitrageurs, market makers, solvers)

@ConejoCapital i’ll poll them beforehand to create a boomer sentiment index, actually curious to understand their views

I’ve been interviewing for engineering roles and have been asking companies what travel for conferences look like. Solana responses have been ‘eh we don’t find them that useful / haven’t participated much in the conferences’, the Ethereum companies have been in general more pro. I might just need to talk to more teams, I am new to the solana ecosystem. I was just confused on how you can build large blockchain products without showing up in person (at least i’ve found it helpful in the ethereum world to do so)

@kyanooooooooooo are they less frequent now in general or do you just go to them less? (i don’t know much about their conference circuit)

@colludingnode i guess for clarity, the teams i've talked to thought breakpoint wasn't super useful and didn't go to a ton of events. my sample pool is small but i was shook because they're p big name teams where their parallels in ethereum live at the events

@JonWalch lol. my previous role as a research eng might have made the events more useful to me that it would just normal builders, it was super helpful to collaborate with others in person on designs but def not super related to immediate increase in tangible metrics

@nixorokish i love the events and collaborative nature of ethereum, interop day and sequencing week in chiang mai was eyeopening in terms of how the community drives things forward. i'm not that deep in solana tbh, i'll report back if i find more things out
