actually, a couple of things from experience in the CN otome sphere, just to clarify haha. - the game doesn't specify MC's age, so her canon age is still a speculation tbh. - the canon verse and AU settings aren't mutually exclusive! so, unless it's specified the charas are of their canon verse age, it doesn't translate to the AU. and his AU story clearly mentions MC was a 小孩 (child/ kid) back when she met him. - the original writing, especially with the use of terms like 收养, 长大 *does* strongly hint at him being mc’s guardian in the sense of a parental figure. however, since they don't use terms like 亚父 or 父亲 for him, the readers are given the scope to see him only as a guardian figure. so, if people don’t want consider it that way, that's completely fine too! and that's what i touched on in the first tweet as well 🫶
