So proud to have passed the re-establishment of the Citizen’s Budget Commission in the first meeting upon taking office. Judging by the first meeting, I am confident this will be one of this Council’s biggest accomplishments. (Missing Commissioner appearing telephonically)

@d2inaz @JosephChaplik @scottsdaleazgov Insane yes. Just wait for what he’s got in the works for N Scottsdale with the massive commercial and industrial campuses…this is the opposite of protecting residents and our quality of life.

I’m sure Joe would/will be the first to step up to work on solutions for this important, and sad, issue but“El Rey”, as he wants to be called, has a real rep for not responding well to input or opinions of others. I’m certain Joe will work w my administration and we will develop a rational solution that doesn’t include ignoring it—destroying our city and posing risk to our residents and business owners.

I hope you’re not suggesting it’s a lost cause so let’s give up and do nothing? It’s a regional problem that warrants a regional solution. I will work with other elected officials representing Scottsdale at county & state level to develop a regional solution. We have laws that prevent people living/sleepng in public spaces which must be enforced if people choose not to utilize emergency services which are available. We cannot punish residents or business owners by allowing this issue to persist & get worse.
