Why do we say we are IN a car, truck, or boat, but we say we are ON a plane, a train, or a ship. Because the latter are considered mass transit? And I get that it's tough (or impossible) to ride IN a bicycle, a motorcycle, or a horse; but why not say IN the plane or the train?

This afternoon, I took the JV players out on the course for the first time this season at golf practice while the Varsity played with Coach O'Neil. Good group of 6th and 7th graders with a bright future. Some good swings and good shots mixed in today. #GolfIS

Bunker renovation continues at @CopperMillGC north of Baton Rouge. The first fairway bunkers are being edged and getting ready for drainage. Looks great!

The faster your green speeds are, the less interesting your greens can (generally) be. There used to be an artistry in golf greens, that was made possible by the green speeds of yesteryear. Greens < 11 can be fantastic & challenging whereas > 13 not so much. #GolfHistory
