A Chinese company called Aoyi is showing off a color ePaper display that it says delivers higher refresh rates and better color gradient representation than E Ink. But a demo video shows that video still looks shaky, so it's not an LCD/OLED replacement.

Intel Lunar Lake chips feature on-package LPDDR5x-8533 memory which saves space and reduces latency and power consumption. But it also drives up the price, so Intel says it's a one-off. Future Intel chips won't have integrated RAM.

Thunderbird 8.0 for Android is now available. It's basically Mozilla's modified, branded version of the open source K-9 Mail app with support for importing data from K-9 or the Thunderbird desktop app.

It looks like a Raspberry Pi Compute Module 5 could be set to launch on or around November 20th. Mouser Electronics has product listings for a CM5 I/O carrier board, heatsink, and I/O board case, although pictures are "fore reference only."

An unannounced Onn 4K Plus media streamer has shown up in a Geekbench report, with a multi-core performance score that makes it one of the fastest Google or Android TV devices to date. No word on price or launch date yet though.

Amazon confirms that it's discontinuing the Kindle Oasis. The last model was released in 2019, and it's currently out of stock at Amazon. Other retailers may still have some inventory, but the end is nigh for Kindles with physical page turn buttons.

In addition to Android 15, Google is rolling out a Feature Drop for Pixel devices. Among other things, there's support for hands-free Gemini on Pixel Buds, Audio Magic Eraser for videos, underwater photography mode, and pollen tracking in the Weather app.
