It’s about time a statement like this was issued. I’m sick of seeing kids hurt in the weight room by coaches who don’t understand periodization, load management, and movement quality/control. Just because someone played sports and lifts, doesn’t qualify them to lead it.

In the last 9 months in the KC region alone (within 100 mile radius), I’m aware of 34 cases of rhabdomyolysis (6 in the last 3 weeks), 7 cases of myocarditis, 3 cases of pericarditis, and 2 training condition related deaths in HS or college athletes. These are 100%.
