@Rainmaker1973 Macleod was the Department Head. Best was key to the discovery but was not awarded the Nobel Prize because he was a student/technician then, while Macleod, the landlord, got the prize - the Nobel Prize can be shared by up to 3 people. Banting gave Best half of his prize money.
