@NUthmani @EISUnion @Henry_Hepburn @S_A_Somerville @NicolaSturgeon @COSLA @Ross_Greer My understanding is that it was UNIONS who pushed for the change for August to August pay agreements moving forward, not COSLA. Would mean new deal from August 2024-25. Means no longer negotiating at same time as all other public sector workers and helps to align pensions.

@ScotGovEdu @GlowScot @S_A_Somerville How about instead of planning for school closures, you come up with a better plan to resolve the dispute rather than offering us back the money we have already lost through strike action and the 5% we already rejected?You know we are pretty clever people, right?

@lovestotravel8 @EISUnion What was so good about it? Was the same 5% we were previous,y offered plus a portion of the money we have lost through strike action. No ADDITIONAL funding involved. The 5.5% for next year is decent, but only if there is a fair offer this year.
