@helensclegel I think Jewish people should spend more time feeling ashamed for what they’ve done and what they support, but instead, there’s still a sense of victimhood amongst all Jews despite their relative safety. It’s such a sick display that needs to be pulled out by the roots.

@Theholisticpsyc This is really interesting and I actually heard about it a long time ago. But, a professional told me that this is simply theory. You can shift from one style to the other depending on the situation. Thinking of these “styles” as fixed goes against the idea that this is theory.

@Theholisticpsyc This is why therapy can sometimes be ineffective. Of course unfairness happens in daily life with trivial things. But wealth inequality, racism, sexism, etc are all nonsensical standards in society that make unfairness impossible to swallow. We shouldn’t be complacent.

@Theholisticpsyc I agree that’s possible on a personal level. But, when it comes to others’ suffering, you can’t just say “life isn’t fair” about things like racism. I think it’s far too general, but can be mildly helpful for people with mild unfairness in their life.
