Great album as were the re-releases on Rhino back in the early mid-80s. When I started to get into Garage Psych influenced by the likes of @Will_Fuzz & @JulianHCope this Punk Part One album was always - & still is - a favourite of mine.

Bought OTD in 1972: a game changer this one, the cornerstone of an aesthetic that would bear fruit in 1976ff. So many favourites - the Elevators, the Standells, the Barbarians, the Nazz - with a note that defines punk rock: “middle finger drive”
