Big shout out for Marcus Harness… whether he starts or comes on, he puts in a performance… he’s flying under the radar but he’s really impressed me this season.

Just had a coffee whilst at the shops & ended up chatting to an older chap with his dog. He mentioned my Ipswich badge & he was Norwich… as I left he thanked me for the chat as he’d lost his wife of 55 years 6-7 weeks ago… he had tears in his eyes, I stayed 15 minutes longer 😢
I tell you one thing, I fucking love this club… the past 2 years have been everything I’d wished for through the previous 20… careful what you wish for we were told… I’ll take this wish for nights like this… over celebrating and cutting my calf, but it’s worth it.
One of those days filled with both happiness and sadness… my sons 16th birthday born 12 weeks early weighing less than 1lb, so proud of him and the person he’s become but sadly his twin brother didn’t make it… and always leaves a shadow of sadness you never lose.
For context with Paul Cook. History says this is what he does, with success.
Pompey, he took over and removed 28 players and finished 6th losing in the play offs first season, champions next.
Wigan, he removed 21 (24 in total) and then won L1.
The history is sound.
I’m still baffled with those who had Hladky down as being dropped tonight… another top performance and the fact he dropped his shoulder in his six yard box sending two Hull strikers down the road to set up the second was trademark stuff!

Just been on my daily walk, paused at a bench on Rushmere Heath, and an older lady asked if she could sit down on the other end… 90 minutes later I left… rather sweet lady in her 80s, think she wanted the company and it was very pleasant to take the time to talk with her.
No matter the eventual outcome of this season, finally we have a manager who has an identity and not afraid to take risks and make changes, I have total faith if we’re in L1 next season we’ll be top 2 in 12 months…

Yesterday I had a wobble, I’m not ashamed of it, but I’m really proud of so many wonderful people who reached out and offered me support, most don’t really know me, and the support is special. Next week I’ll go again, and get on with my life. Thanks everyone for the support.
Well I’m proud to say my eldest son has been offered one of the Apprenticeship roles working for the Ipswich Town Foundation! He’s over the moon, and I’m relieved that he’s now sorted for the next 18 months
Well my youngest lad heads off to his final official day of secondary school today… He’s an inspiration having been born at 28 weeks, below 1lb in weight and losing his twin… everything he does is 100%, I don’t need him to be a straight A student, just be happy in what he does.
I’ve said it a few times recently it’s not the noisy Leeds we should fear it’s Southampton who are quietly going about their business that are my concern
Tonight I’ve seen people defend Lambert blaming it on injuries, blaming it on referees, I’m sure they’ve blamed it on the fucking boogie!!! The blame sits squarely on the shoulders of Paul Lambert!!! A complete fraud of a manager! You may agree, you may not, but he’s clueless!
Very sad day yesterday with the loss of my father-in-law... A great man who was a barber on Felixstowe Road for over 40 years... Everywhere we’d go someone knew “John the barber”... Fantastic sense of humour... My boys loved his daft jokes... they’ll keep those memories dear.
@MickDennisReal
In fairness, he’s 65, and picking up new languages isn’t simple... I don’t think he gave interviews in French or Italian during his time there. I’d don’t disagree on learning the language but seems the important thing is what’s he’s doing with the team.
Slut! GAIS vinner seriepremiären med 2-1! En överlag väl genomförd match av GAIS och segern säkras efter mål av Morris och Kargbo i den andra halvleken!
Just popped my phone on and a sky news alert just flashed up about the passing of Paul Mariner… I’m heartbroken, one of my first idols… I feel quiet numb…
#RIPPaulMariner
Hate to knock an official but did the ref get his gear for Christmas? My goodness some of the decisions were awful… and that penalty was next level shocking and deserves to be investigated… he puts his whistle to his mouth, pauses and gives a corner.

Rather chuffed for my eldest lad to be offered a place on the new Ipswich Town educational programme... study in the training suite at Portman Road and play in the EFL South Eastern League Wednesday afternoons...
Hope Wes isn’t too bad and that’s a precaution to come off as he’s been electric in recent games, and the link up with Chappers, Broady and Moore has looked great.
@IpswichTown
Sad it’s ended this way… he’s a really likeable character and I’m sure wherever he goes next he’ll do well, but sometimes things just don’t work out, and this is a case of that… I wish him well in the future.
❌ Town's scheduled New Year's Day fixture with Lincoln City has been postponed at the request of the visitors.
The Imps have informed the EFL that they are unable to fulfil the fixture due to Covid-19 cases in the squad.

Fantastic day… it exceeded expectations… it was spent with a lot of top people up at
@TheGreyhoundIps
small selection, apologies if I missed you…

@olimar99

several not on twitter & above all my sons! My advice to them & their friends enjoy it!
That’s the performance which shows we can stay the course… off the back of a very indifferent performance vs Leeds, we went 1 down vs Leicester and we didn’t buckle, we drove forward and got a much deserved equaliser… doesn’t matter how they go in, a goal is a goal!
#itfc
No matter the result tonight, we should consider the loss of two fellow fans along with the medical emergency at the game… puts perspective on things.
My thoughts are with all parties.
Firmino Linked with move back to England 👀

I’d say you’re a hypocrite! If a motor vehicle approaches you to close then you shame the driver, here the cyclist approaches a family on a narrow shared pavement at pace they have a child and it’s the pedestrian who’s shamed… give the halo a polish Jeremy!
Plymouth played very well today, their press was even better than last season and Hladky was our MOTM. Williams excellent too.
In real time I thought it was a penalty but even though Fridge misses the ball I’m not sure he catches Bundu either.

I think that’s moved me far more than losing tonight... he’s such a great person... he’s brought such dignity and calm to the job... I’m so proud of this England side, something I haven’t felt for a while. 😢
Great to be there to see
@alikalhamadi
getting off the mark tonight… Your boy
@KentWomble
is already a real fans favourite… love is energy, his physicality and his determination.
Norwich City have had their new shirt sponsor remove sexually provocative posts from one of its social media accounts after a backlash from fans.

In the same way as Winston Bogarde sat out a four year deal at Chelsea back in the day, it’s not the persons fault the club have given him the deal and he doesn’t have to walk away from it particularly as he’s coming up to 34…
Waiting for the first person to tweet “yeah but Ipswich have only beaten sides at the bottom… blah blah blah…” titles are won by beating teams no matter their current position in the league… winning games we normally drop points in is the thing! Uppa Towen!!!
#itfc
For me it’s not the Judge transfer, or the timing, it’s about the fact Season after season we spend the summer never building a team, always shipping out and replacing with last minute signings and loans... here we are trialing defenders just over a week before the season!
@henrywinter
It’s totally overshadowed the incredible footballing achievement of the team itself!
The organisation really needs a long hard look at itself.
@ladbible
If you’re a 58 year old bloke and worried about your children being upset then behave like a normal human being and not an attention seeking dirty old man!
Thought Humphreys was probably MOTM for me… I’d have rather he’d been moved into the centre to use his ability to find a pass and switched Williams to LB and Clarke to RB…
@joshlowe_05
@james_hamon
Makes me laugh when you see players at this level doing that to media teams GoPros, what’s he going to be like if I’m he ever got on TV… 😂🤣😂
Am I the only one, pretty comfortable with the squad we have... there are obvious weaknesses but that should be where good coaching comes into it... If we’re wanting to blood young players then bloating their squad still further won’t help that objective.

@BillsFanUK
It didn’t go unnoticed to me that the second half of the season
@RichardKeogh_6
was out on the pitch pre-match working with the defenders… For a relatively young back four it must have been great working with Richard. When he hangs up his boots hope he comes back as a coach.
Great to hear that Paul Cook is so inclusive, he’s asking to attend training sessions at all levels associated with the club... That’s what I like to hear.
My lad off to the ITFC Foundation Post-16 leavers awards meal at the ground… first suit outing… next outing will be his interview with the Foundation for an apprenticeship next week…
Just heard what you said
@talkSPORTDrive
on the show about Ipswich and in that 2 minutes you said everything that’s wrong... I’m 51 and it breaks my heart to see where Evans has dragged the club... I’m at a point of walking away. We’ve without identity, without heart. An 1/2
The one thing about going to the match tonight is the brilliant organisation and really good stewarding, very clear information provided throughout... well done all...
@IpswichTown
To love tonight’s win, you have to love Sam Morsy’s performance… Tonight he was everything & more I hoped he’d be when he signed… He allowed the rest of the team to play with freedom… he brought great leadership & a real assurance to the side… I’ve now got my favourite. 💙🤍
@IpswichTown
Just wanted to say how well one of your stewards handled a situation when a guy in front of me fell and injured his shoulder in S5 Sir Bobby, she came checked him, went for medical assistance and came back and sat with him until they came, I believe her number is 158
