Utterly devastated to be seconds away from achieving our goal, before having it taken from us. Sheer incompetence and arrogance displayed by the officials in dealing with a decision that had so much at stake for the players. @FIH_Hockey need to ensure that this can't happen again

Really sad news. An amazingly encouraging teacher who always had a smile on his face. His presence will be missed in the classroom, at the 40ft and at the side of the hockey pitch on Saturdays supporting former pupils. R.I.P.
it is with great sadness that we have learnt of the untimely death on Friday of Gerry McCaughan. He taught generations of us from the '80s to 2020. We extend our sincere sympathy to his family, his friends and to the teachers and staff of the college. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
