So, it’s happened. I got #COVID in #Shanghai. Waiting for CDC now to take me to hospital and @LeaningEmma to central quarantine- our life for the next three weeks ☹️.

I’m not sure why we are here. The only medical attention indicated (above and beyond what you get in central quarantine) is some optional TCM. Don’t know why I can’t be in a hotel? No one here has any major symptoms. Here’s the advice sheet:

My British colleague now also been admitted to this hospital with his husband (both no symptoms). No rooms left so they are on beds in the corridor. A nurse said all future inpatients will be in sleeping bags.

Interested in how the CDC defines symptomless cases? I was put in that camp yet I did have (mild) #COVID-19 symptoms- headache, sore throat, fatigue.
The Chinese mainland on Saturday reported 1,217 locally transmitted #COVID19 cases. Of the new local infections, 1,071 were reported in the province of Jilin, 47 in Shanghai, 28 in Liaoning, 16 in Tianjin, 14 in Henan and 10 in Hebei.
