@allgarbled @Bonecondor truly underrated option here, and it's generally free of charge I'd guess that landlords don't have the right to require payment via specific money transfer apps either, this person should read up on their state laws

@skorpien @eyeslasho harris and obama are not "visibly" biracial, and the public would assume they're black if not given addl info had they made the point publicly they were biracial and not black, it'd be clearly abnormal. a good politician doesn't go out of their way to do that

@KranzBun @eyeslasho but utilitarianism refutes that argument for them, if they think voting for one party will produce more good for more people, then they'd generally vote for them regardless of their own views

@kmason1957 @mgio35 @john17718 @eyeslasho are the african immigrants that move to the US close to the median within their population? no, they're generally among the top 5-10% with the means and skills to emigrate (and obtain a work visa to live here) which is part of what makes america great, we attract the best talent

@eyeslasho this was also during a period where a significant number of HOAs had CC&Rs that specifically prevented people of certain races from living in those communities, also outlawed via the FHA in 1968 those covenants didn't exclude *just* black people either, but it was another factor

@eyeslasho while I mostly agree, the practice of redlining wasn't made illegal until 1968, which is barely one generation removed from current day it's not slavery, but redlining was about as close to "systemic racism" as a practice can be

@ArmandDoma the kidnapping saga turned out to be almost entirely a gov't setup, and having her on the ticket would've dredged up something they'd much rather forget and not bring to national attention it's her chappaquiddick

@CathyYoung63 I remember watching this as it happened, some real classic power-politicking elon really turned away from the left when his kid transitioned and disowned him though, so he took the brunt of the idpol and union left at the same time
