This is a big step both for the provisional licensees and for the future of licensing in CA. From the pilot, CA will study whether a more permanent PBE will be valid, reliable, fair and feasible. Considerable evidence already points toward that conclusion.

NCBE has removed a sample question from its NextGen site, tacitly agreeing with a problem that GPT-4 identified. Does this point the way towards new ways for all of us to use AI?

NCBE should publish the specific rules that it plans to test on the NextGen exam. Fairness to all stakeholders requires that.
