The amount of postpartum rage I had when I came home from the hospital and all of my freezer foods were thrown out by my in-laws and there is no food in my fridge. My entire kitchen is rearranged and I just want to scream.
Wow I didn’t think that would be the tweet to go viral but ok! Update: IL’s were spoken to and they have replenished the food they had thrown out. What a way to come home though!
One thing about motherhood that still bothers me 2 years in is the lack of support for the parents. I get it, everyone wants to know how the baby is, but asking how the mom & dad are doing is also really helpful.
Here I am thinking how great it is that I have read 14 books so far this year and then I look at these other people’s goodreads profiles and they have read 145 so far 😅

My (previous) OB’s office didn’t even do one ever. It was Ava’s pediatrician that did them every time and made sure I followed up and got help!
Being able to be there for the family after their loved one passes is an honor. When they thank you for being there for them, this is a reason why I became a nurse ❤️

Pregnancy has really turned me into the worlds biggest klutz. I just dropped 3 glasses, spilled orange juice and knocked over a tub of butter in a span of 30 seconds.
I’ve been trying to focus on some positive things this week despite the sadness & anxiety & this is what I came up with:
1. Ava has been waving and saying hi to everyone when we go for walks outside
2. I’m thankful we moved to a place with so many nature trails and farms

Finding it really hard to be thankful this holiday season when all I’m seeing is + COVID cases, exposures, and two deaths in my family. Gonna take a little break on here 😞
Ava stopped calling me mama and now calls me “mommy” 🥺 next will be “mom” and after that she’ll prob be calling me all kinds of names bc she’ll be a teenager
