My therapist told me to stop making happiness my end goal. Because what is happiness? It’s an emotion. Just like sadness, and anger. You are allowed to feel them. But trying to make happiness the end goal releases unrealistic expectations onto you that end up in disappointment.

I think this is a hard concept for someone like me because my love is one of a kind, you won’t meet someone who will make you feel like I do, no love is the same. So I don’t think anyone could truly love me, how I would love. But I have felt love, it just wasn’t how I wanted it.

I walked into the job I really wanted, talked to manager we chatted a storm, & told me to apply. I was interviewed a few days later! The interview was so much fun and he emailed me today to let me know he is going to hire me for the role with the max pay!!! 🙌🏽 I’m so happy
