So if I were trying to build a big-tent Dem coalition & thought that moving away from staffed Left diagnoses & tactics was crucial to that, I wouldn't be slamming folks calling their reps. I would offer them an alternate theory of change, with action items & local convos to match

@ZacharyDonnini @_fat_ugly_rat_ Do city-specific patterns (and differences between cities) look the same if you track change in net Dem votes (so, reflecting change in turnout as well as partisan shift) rather than change in margin?

The fact that two core groups w/in the Democratic coalition are at opposite ends of the spectrum vis a vis this societywide trend (see good new synthesis fr @DKThomp) is maybe an underrated contributor to some political disconnects in recent ys, most strikingly this past November
