It was an honor to tell
@carpenterr33
’s story of the emotional, viral moment from Monday’s Bruins game on Hockey Fights Cancer night.
A night she was honoring her mom, Shannon, turned into a captured moment she’ll have forever.
Hannah Carpenter went to Monday's Hockey Fights Cancer night to honor her mother, Shannon McCarthy, who passed away in March. What she got was a moment she'll never forget.
Colby Cave’s wife, Emily, posted an emotional Instagram, noting she’s not allowed at the hospital where Colby recovers due to COVID-19.
Continued prayers for the Cave family 🙏🏼
Meanwhile, Josh Gordon is indefinitely suspended while he focuses on his mental health.
Let’s also not forget how obsessed the commissioner is with getting Barstool away from the Super Bowl.
Put your hands on a woman, though? Couple games, see ya back on the field soon.
Take Tori’s picture down. She has nothing to do with you thinking you’re owed a toothbrush for one cent because you can’t read that it’s for the display.
The Folignos are such good people.
Janelle made sure Jeremy Swayman had plenty of food when he got injured last season so he wouldn’t have to worry. He also spent Thanksgiving ‘22 with the Folignos.
The night Connor Bedard broke his jaw, Nick Foligno, his wife Janelle and the Foligno family dog came over and spent the night at Connor’s apartment so he wouldn’t be alone. 🥹😭 Tremendous gesture by the Folignos & a great relationship between Connor and Nick.

Nick Foligno after the game: “It was pretty neat to see the 100-year celebration. I tried to soak that in a little bit. And seeing some of the old guys now — Bergeron and Krejci — out there. It was pretty cool to see. Boston will always have a place in our hearts.”
One of my favorite shots from last night….

If I added up all the years the Red Sox have taken off my life throughout my 32 years on this earth I wouldn’t need to go to work this morning because I’d be dead.
J.D. Martinez just said, “thanks for having me” to Guerin Austin after his postgame interview and that is just the most wholesome, humble and polite thing ever.
NFL will not discipline Chiefs’ WR Tyreek Hill, who was accused of assaulting his son. League could not find evidence he did; it will leave open case if further evidence emerges, but Hill is free to report to camp, practice and play this season.
Five years ago, I left my abusive relationship. I was lucky enough to find an out and have an amazing support system of family and friends to make the healing a little easier.
Things still trigger me. The memories don’t just disappear. But I’ve never been happier or healthier.
Such a great episode.
Linus Ullmark said there were "a lot of tears" when he called Jeremy Swayman after the trade went down. Also said Swayman will always be his "little brother."
"We might drift apart, but there's always gonna be a connection that pulls us together again."
Nine years ago I was in Cancun with my abuser, thinking this was what love was supposed to be like — fancy trips all the time.
Now I’m planning a wedding with someone who respects me, listens to me and loves me for who I am all my quirks.
It gets better. I promise.
NFL must ban Robert Kraft if sex trafficking allegations are true
At first it may seem funny about the most powerful man in the league.
But the allegations against the Patriots owner are deeply disturbing.
“He really enjoyed people, he really enjoyed being around people, and today we lost one of the good ones." — Kevin Youkilis opened the broadcast with an emotional tribute to Tim Wakefield.
Good morning 🤗 the Red Sox are 16-2 and just shut down Shohei Ohtani.
The Bruins are 3-1, beat the Leafs without Patrice Bergeron and can close out the series at home Saturday.
The Celtics are 2-0 and are stomping the Bucks without their best players.
I ♥️ this city.
The Bruins may have lost but we set a wedding date so it’s not all bad.
Anyway we’re getting married Aug. 6, 2022 and I have more joy than chicken nuggets ever brought me.
People are so mad about this play, calling it bush league and saying sUsPeNd him when Schwarber never has played 1B until this year. Mans just wasn’t paying attention.
My pretty lady begins the journey today to (once again) kick cancer’s ass. I love you so much,
@LeDragonXII
and I know you’re going to come out on top ❤️
David Pastrnak met with reporters for the first time Thursday since announcing the death of his 6-day old son in June.
Pastrnak thanked the fans and his teammates for all the support.
Pavel Zacha is drawing high praise from his teammates. He’ll likely start on the top line to begin the season, but Charlie Coyle said he’d love to have him as a linemate if it works out that way once Brad Marchand returns.
Friday news dump: Wednesday will be my last day at NESN after five incredible years. It’s always bittersweet to leave a job that gave you so much (including a husband) and played a pivotal role in your career. I met some amazing people along the way, made meaningful connections
