I wish parents would realize that coaches aren’t out to screw your kid over. At young levels playing time will be fair but not equal. I invite parents to come and watch practices and explain to coaches why their kid should be playing more over other kids.
Another great year for Dan Stanton Memorial coaches clinic. Was great to be back and see everyone. Appreciate all the hard work people put in for it. Dad would have loved it. Can’t wait for the fall!
Another year in the books for the Dan Stanton Memorial Coaches Clinic. Another great turnout. Thank you to all those who presented and gave their time. A lot of money was raised for scholarships to keeps Dad’s legacy alive. Great weekend with great people.
Proud of all my uncles and my Dad. Not just for being great coaches but also positive role models for hundreds of student athletes. Proud to be a Stanton.

The Stanton family moved to Baker in 1980. The four boys went on to pave their own paths as players and coaches, just like their father Jim did.
Had to say goodbye to my best friend today. Doc was “Dad’s Dog” and went through it all with us. He was cheerful, happy and loving all the way till the end. Going to miss you so much beast. Dad’s waiting to play some chuck it with you. Love you good boy.
Always a tough day today. 7 years only makes it harder. I miss my mentor and hero every day. Starting a new chapter in my life makes it even more difficult. Get to teach in my Dad’s first room he taught in as well. Bittersweet. Love you Dad. Miss you.
After my Shrine Game I told my Dad that it was a waste of time. He told me I was selfish and ungrateful. That I bitched about something hundreds of others would kill to be in. Ride home was awkward. But he was right. Love you Dad.
Dad coaches us to two state championships and only heard him curse in front of us 1 time that I can remember in three years of varsity. My players now do push ups if they curse and I do my best not to. Cursing doesn’t = a better coach. Loud doesn’t = better.
I have to disagree. I played for two of the best coaches in history Chuck Noll and Bill Walsh. They didn’t berate their players with profanity. They coached us. Demanding—yes. Correct you—yes. Degrading—never. Tom Landry & Joe Gibbs were the same way. That’s a lot of SB wins
Cool video of the Badlands Bowl in Miles City. Was fortunate enough to play in the game and get a win. Was also the last game I got to be coached by my Dad. So a really special memory. Shout out to
@CoachPStanton
on the play by play too. Great memories.
Happy Father’s Day Dad. Hope you’re enjoying it with Grandpa Jim and Paul as well. All great fathers who are missed. Spend time with your family and tell them you love them everyday.
One of my favorite videos. Really sums up how a lot of people feel. My Dad is also my hero. Still look up to him and think of him every time. As we get older we need to love the people around us more and more. Would give anything for one more moment with dad

Good to be back in class and to take advantage of the opportunity. Been well worth it so far. Just working on that 10 year plan. Once a Hawk always a Hawk.
Kyle Stanton dusted off his textbooks when he heard he could finish his bachelor's degree at DSU without leaving his coaching gig in Miles City, MT. "When I was informed of the new program, I knew I had to take the opportunity,” he said.

It’s a sad thought that I can’t remember the last Christmas with my dad. Make sure you cherish the time you have with family and friends. Embrace every moment and opportunity. Tomorrow and next year is never guaranteed.
My Dad always told me I played well even when I know I didn’t. Always pointed out something positive. Never said anything negative. Would wait for me to ask questions about what I could do better. Never told me what I should do better.

Well deserved for these great young men. Good luck going forward. Also humbling to know my dad will still help young student athletes for years to come. Miss you everyday Dad. Go Cowboys!
Wish I lived in a time before cellphones and constant contact with people. I think relationships and the time you spend with people would mean so much more without constantly being in contact with one another.
Kids this young shouldn’t be in pads and this stuff shouldn’t be glorified. There is zero reason kids these young need to be tackling. This isn’t funny or cute to me. It’s messed up. With all we know about concussions now there’s 0 excuse for this.
I’m glad I took a chance and applied for the head Jr high track coach job in MC. What a great year. Enjoyed it more than I ever thought I could. Going to miss all of these great kids!
Miles City lost another great one. It was an honor to be taught by, coached by and to coach with Coach Essex. He was loved by the kids and will be missed by many.
Wendee, TJ, & Tyler
Our deepest sympathies go out to you. Thank you for sharing Aaron with us. Coach Essex did so much for so many kids in MC. We will miss him immensely.
Had an amazing time in New York for my brothers wedding. One of the best/proudest nights of my life. It’s always a special feeling two people so in love and united with a love for god as well.
Would give a lot to talk coaching/football with my Dad one more time. Get even one more text. This shit sucks and can relate. Literally never know when it’s going to be the last time you get the chance.
James White gets emotional talking about his late father Tyrone, and missing the messages his father used to send before games. “He meant everything to me.”
Parents are ruining sports for kids. From 6 years old to high school. Parents who yell at officials, coaches and each other. This is becoming such a common problem.
@PeteSampson_
I know this is kind of a joke but I just want them to win out and win one of the big New Years bowls outside of the playoffs. Finishing 11-2 and finally winning a meaningful bowl game would be huge.
Great to brag this weekend about the Stanton Trifecta. People say you get favoritism from your last name and at times there’s a good reason. Stanton’s kicked ass this weekend. So proubd of my family.

People who are depressed and have possible suicidal tendencies will never call a hotline. They won’t reach out to you. It doesn’t work that way. You must reach out to your family&friends.
Please never get a dog if you’re not going to provide it any type of shelter from the elements. Makes me sick to see the same German Shepard either roasting with no shade or today curled up in the mud being poured with rain. Guys about to have his dog taken.
My friends celebrating BHS tonight I am not drinking this evening so if you need a ride don’t be afraid to hit me up. Even if it’s bar close. Would rather have you with me then driving drunk!
I think people who play hard metal rock at the bar literally just want to piss everyone off. We going to kick the hells angels ass in 5 or trying to have a good time?
I had a dream where I met an amazing girl. We connected right away and fell in love. Then we went to a water park and she fell off a slide and hit her head. Had amnesia and forgot me. Even in my dreams I can’t find love 🙃
Congratulations BCCHS coach Jim Stanton on his 200th career win tonight. (200-61 career, 140-35 BC). He becomes only the 13 coach in the history of MT HS football (all class) to hit 200 wins. Unbelievable! The BC community is very proud to call him coach.

Was picking up a ring for my mom at the jewelry store and the lady working asked if it was for my wife. Hey at least I give off the appearance of potentially having a wife. That’s a win in my book.
Just found out I need a girl friend by like August 8th. Going on a significant other day the day before a wedding and it sounds like I’m the only single person in the entire wedding party. So ladies, Sup?
Haven’t officially posted it but I’m sure people have figured out with my other posts, that I accepted the head track coach position at CCDHS this fall. I am very excited to get going this spring. I also want to introduce everyone to our team mascot, Lou Stanton.
Two eyes, two ears, a chin, a mouth, 10 fingers, two nipples, a butt, two knee caps, a penis. I have just described to you the Lochness Monster, and the reward for its capture...all the riches in Scotland. So I have one question, why are you here?
