Ok so I was in the psych ward for a week in 2020. I befriended a trans man there, and we decided to draw portraits of each other. I was pre hrt, crawling with dysphoria and crying because the nurses refused to let me shave my face and I couldn't get hrt. This is how he drew me.

This is gonna be my only comment on the art discourse because I know what it's like to be respected by queer artists as a trans woman, and a lot of y'all are NOT there.

Wanna be clear I'm not talking about the post that started the discourse, the person pictured asked ppl 2 stop dogpiling the artist for a reason. I'm speaking on the dogpiling of trans girls in the wake of this discourse. people freaking out bout the og post was uncalled for.

Hey this really warmed my heart to hear. One nurse at the ward heard about this, chewed the whole staff out, and would check in twice a day to make sure I was able to shave as much as I needed. Nurse Mike is my hero, actually saved my life.
