In order to keep what you have, you must give it away. I know it sounds contradictory but I promise that it makes sense. An example of this would be If you feel love, you must exert that love within your external interactions in order to keep it present within yourself.

Some people aren’t ready for true, pure love as they have never received it therefore they have no idea on how to go about loving another person. Learn to love yourself before loving another person to prevent yourself from being the hurt one that hurts others.

I wrote this years ago amidst one of the darkest storms that have been sent my way & it’s incredible knowing how far one can go with some effort. I’ve been a wrist slitting, tin foil folding, self hating, useless and resentful individual. If I can survive & evolve, you can too.
