A lot of people hate the “chosen one” angle and robert queen retcon angle. I don’t. Robert queen represents what ollie could be. He’s an obsessed psycho who’s visibly addicted to his work to the clans. He’s what ollie could be.

While the chosen one angle, adds to ollie’s choice. He knows this isn’t his choice. That oliver queen was always meant to be the green arrow, to fight for the arrow clan…But he doesn't, he decides they aren’t what he wants. And decides to fight for the people. The little guy.

In 23.1 this is further shown. His powers perfectly counter him And robert queen. His own father I’d argue is the main villain of ollie’s life. He’s the reason he is who he is but because of that caused him the most amount of pain and strife. He is what ollie could be.

Ollie is weakened since count vertigo can disable his powers without a challenge, fine, get in close. This book redefines archery. Lemiere takes it from merely hitting your shot, to hitting a target. He takes archery and forms it into accuracy, not accuracy with a bow.
