Fav story this week: on her way to school, Nozipho Sibanda (then aged 12) from 🇿🇼 noticed that part of the railway line was broken. She knew it could mean disaster. Detoured to tell the station master, who stopped the train. Verdict: 300 lives saved.

Lisa Ndengo. Just graduated from ZOU with a First 👏. Forced into child marriage at 14. Managed to escape to her grandmother in Macheke. Taken in by a #teacher who did much to make sure she got an education. Lisa worked two jobs to finish her degree. Story by @NewshawksLive

UPDATE: A businessman in Chipinge has offered Curran Musada the use (at no charge) of his van for his mobile library project. Now to source fuel. Curran, Pricilla, Tapiwa, Nomatter & Prudence are doing an amazing job getting reading books to young people in the community 👏👏

Wedding anniversary today. The vintage bag was from Horncastle; I carried it to my wedding a long way from home. Marrying him wasn’t just about adventures - but it turns out he and I have had a few. And he is kind. It matters. ❤️

Mutare. This town, those hills. Main Street: OK, the market opposite Janis on weekends, the Wimpy courtyard (pretty sure it's no longer a Wimpy) where Mai A and I took the children for ice-cream when they were small, dried masau sold in small bags outside Meikles ❤.

🐝Great supermarket find in Harare: #honey made by bees that forage on macadamia flowers in Zimbabwe🇿🇼. Au-pairing in Italy years ago, I stayed with bee-keepers (apicoltori) who marketed each honey type according to the flowers the bees frequented. Eucalyptus honey, lavendar etc.
