@courtsnewsIRL Why are the media not after Nolan at this point? if this was an opposition TD putting forward defenses for these characters it would be front page news and rightly so, but Nolan is at it for years and no questions. I bet if an enquiry was to ever happen he would just retire.

Lisa Chambers, Avril Power and now Ann (and many more over the years) failed to get elected and then placed in there, why have the elections if they can just cast aside the voters wishes.

@DavidCu87627414 @SuzieD755164 @rte @simonharris We had a chance to get rid of the Seanad a few years back and we failed, the media were frightening people into thinking the Seanad would hold the government accountable. Anne Rabbitte was rejected by voters & failed in Seanad bid lately and then MM made her a senator.
