This is a pretty interesting development. Saudi statements last year were what might be called tactically ambiguous. No longer. Itโs possible that with Iran significantly weakened in the region and under pressure by the US, the impetus for cooperation with Israel has evaporated.
#Statement | The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia appreciates the condemnation, disapproval and total rejection announced by the brotherly countries towards what Benjamin Netanyahu stated regarding the displacement of the Palestinian people from their land and the Kingdom values the positions that emphasize the centrality of the Palestinian issue to the Arab and Muslim countries.

@YinnonWhoIAm Itโs not uncomfortable for me. I have no difficulty with doing that, and I can guess what weโd find.

@privatetamar But if I recall correctly, many hostages learned of loved ones being killed through media etc, and so far as we know they did not lose the will to live. They all still have families and friends despite the people they lost.

@AhmedHamma72948 Thatโs literally what cultural Zionism is. If he doesnโt know what heโs talking about that isnโt my fault.

@KafkaDatura @RachelMoiselle They havenโt repeated this report, so Iโd treat it with a bit of caution. Iโll watch the โceremonyโ at some point to confirm.

@wavelinejosh @RachelMoiselle @ICRC Sure, I agree. But really Hamas is participating in this hostage exchange because itโs in their interests. Theyโre not doing it because they want an autograph from the ICRC. The ICRC growing a spine and insisting on their principles would not blow up this deal.

@yosmin144 @AeyalGross @ICRC_ilot @eliavl @faniaoz Yes? They are the guardians of the Geneva Conventions, they should not be endorsing breaches of them let alone participating in them. Hamas would not have blown up the hostage exchange over the ICRC refusing to sign their silly documents.
