How can I tell?
A process called glaciation.
You can actually see it happening at the top of the cumulonimbus cloud.
It’s got a smooth, reticulated pattern look to it at the top. Temperatures up there are at least -35°C or

What happened at Red Rocks tonight could’ve easily been avoided. My thoughts are with Nicole and everyone else who was injuried tonight.

Tonight was the scariest night of my life. It started pelting people with hail at Red Rocks and my sister and I luckily found shelter under a sign. I am bleeding and have huge bumps on my head from the hail. Hoping everyone made it out safely.

The storm chaser community can be so incredibly toxic. This is one of many reasons why I don’t monetize content. We aren’t 24 hours removed from a tragedy that took lives and all people can bitch about is making sure their name is on every picture and video. It’s disgusting.

When strong winds blow up and over the Rocky Mountains, the wind "crashes" over the peaks like breaking waves on a beach. That's why we get spectacular cloud displays
