i will engage in good faith. in your substack you say nato incorporated russia's former "ally countries" - correction, eastern european countries were never "allies" with russia, they were its subjects. like ukraine now, after ussr dissolution they sought protection under nato umbrella themselves, it's not like nato forcefully integrated them against their will. you repeatedly say that nato provoked russia by expanding. following this logic where was an acceptable stopping point? was it poland? west germany? at its peak ussr controlled half of europe. following this logic usa shouldn't have allowed most of europe to join nato it's a zero sum game: if nato doesn't expand, then russia or china will
