My company just listed on LinkedIn a job posting for what I’m currently doing (so we’re hiring another UX writer) and now thanks to salary transparency laws, I see that they intend to pay this person $32k-$90k more than they currently pay me, so I applied.

I wrote this poem at the end of an “almost love”. How difficult it was for it to end, to be left holding a torch for someone waiting for time to burn it out. This poem is a tribute to who I am, reckless lover/dreamer.

My hot take about voting is that most of the time it’s not about you/your voice. That’s an incredibly narrow worldview to hold. It’s about choosing an option that’s beneficial for everyone as a whole, not just you. Voting should come from a place of empathy and care for others.

I know the running joke is that management will reward your hard work with a pizza party instead of cash but management won’t even order enough pizza for everybody at the party so I’ll take what I can get at this point.
