@Dred_Tory @Cazzy @prairiecentrist Realist Canadians have a better grasp on the U.S. administration's underlying issue: financial collapse. The $38 trillion debt (that was $35 trillion before Christmas) is not repayable, hence the drive to expand their asset base: Canada, Greenland, Panama. The threat is real.

@prairiecentrist Such blanket statements as "the US is not a reliable ally" paints the entire American population as being at odds with the entire Canadian population. So unnecessary, and so ill-advised. It is the US administration that is in focus, not the US population.

@ClimateRealists As journalist Alex Newman pointed out, the campaign to convince as many as possible that carbon dioxide is pollution (and negatively impacts the climate) is the tactic through which public sectors grow richer, more intervening in economies ... increasingly predatory over-all.

@MargTokar As Thomas Sowell has noted, to understand bureaucrats you need to realize that it is all about the process, not about the results.

@FuneralCel The folks from Western Canada have been asking that question for several decades now.

@Dean_Winnipeg Yet we've been preached to for some nine years now about how carbon taxes were "good for society and the economy" that the Liberal leadership candidates are now all back-tracking . . . basically admitting their willful damaging policy.

@TomANelson Seems to be a common thread in public sectors these days. The COVID mRNA vaccine was also decided upon before it was 'tested'.

@LauraBabcock @MarkJCarney Per his 570-page book, Liberal leadership candidate Mark Carney, who has yet to be voted on by anyone, anywhere, is all about “woke” ideology and DEI (diversity, equity, inclusion) agendas.

@WaytowichNeil A whole lot of "I" messaging. Your opinions are completely irrelevant and unnecessary.

@TheRoyGreenShow Liberal leadership, NDP support or lack thereof, legal challenge to proroguing Parliament, and of course Mr. Trump's activities.

@moneytalkstweet Very much in keeping with Mr. Carney's 570 page book, he made a policy announcement at Pier 21 in Halifax that essentially told Canadians that his plan to fight Trump’s tariffs and his plan to solve Canadian’s economic woes are one in the same — a green economy.

@maxfawcett Members of the same political party that 'promised' the carbon tax rate would not increase.
