Last week, Knead's home in Richmond, Virginia underwent a 5-day-long water crisis. As an upstart publication supported by freelancers, this left our contributors who are in the service industry without work for the entire week. To help support Richmond’s restaurant community, we’re introducing Shift Meal: a limited-edition Knead membership sold from now until February 1 for $5/year on @base. All proceeds will be going to Richmond service industry workers impacted by the water crisis. The membership includes a 2025 Annual Membership + access to prizes from Richmond restaurants, artists, creators, and others in Knead’s network for our giveaway on February 2.
