Feels like a gag but it is actually a part of his characterization. Right when he was introduced, Madara's susanoo has 2 sides meaning no "back". Madara was covering his weakness.
First, notice how Madara was stabbed from his back. Madara's back has always been a focus throughout his character arc. Ever since he was a kid madara was anxious about someone standing behind him. His back was his weakness
Madara's this weakness was exploited before by hashirama as well. Even Madara notes that. Hashirama is the only one who can stand behind Madara cuz he's the only one who madara trusts. Hashirama broke his trust.
Madara's back is a peak symbolism of his lack of trust over anyone other than himself . Hence, madara covers his back using his shadow. Only black zetsu can stand behind him cuz madara thinks it's his will incarnate
Second, BZ backstabbing Madara makes the most sense cuz madara thinks BZ as his own will. He won't let his guard off for anyone else. Bz not being created by madara is foreshadowed when hashirama notices someone watching them fight later on it was revealed to be BZ
Madara was never meant to be the final villain of war cuz he's a product of wars and he's a part of endless cycle of hatred. Whereas kaguya is the root cause for all conflicts in shinobi history. She had to be the final villain of war
Talking about the plot twist, you see kaguya's face over the planet after infinite tsukuyomi. Madara completed his goal it was his greatest achievement yet Madara's face wasn't drawn like that. He was never the "savior"
Madara's actual conclusion was one of his best moments imo👇 His lack of trust over others was the reason why his dream never came true while hashirama's dream stays alive because he could entrust it to future generations
Shinobi are meant to live and die as tools for someone is the theme of naruto since LoW. Every shinobi in history was a tool used for kaguya's resurrection. Madara was no different to this.
Third, BZ backstabbed Madara only after he absorbed juubi and started infinite tsukuyomi. Madara became kaguya's vessel. All thats left was kaguya's will (BZ) to merge with her vessel to bring her back
Madara's hypocrisy is that he wants to create a world of only peace and yet can't live without conflict. His desire for conflict is so immense that he actively involves in battle instead of completing his goal. He can't separate it from himself which is why he's just a human.
Madara wants to lead everyone to a dream world and bring peace by eradicating human flaws and hypocrisy, but he's a human with human flaws just like others and that's why not fit for this role.
He kept toying with others manipulating them for his purpose. He was so used to it that he forgot the possibility that even he might be manipulated by someone. Madara needed a reality check. A mere human could never become a god.
His arrogance and savior complex led to his downfall. He wanted to cast the infinite tsukuyomi himself and not by anyone else,hence he put a seal on obito. He wanted nagato to revive him using rinne rebirth so that he would lead people to a new world as a savior.
@MySter_D_Zoro
Never asked what "we" wanted. Kishi did what was appropriate considering how he setup the story👍I'm not convincing anyone just want mfs to know some context about it 😴
@Graaffiti
If Naruto is perfect on its own, then nothing can ruin or make it better lol.
Still boruto is a good read with peak stuff and doesn't ruin shit
