Agree and disagree. Markets change, financial landscapes of audiences change. The value has to be there. Companies scale and downsize all the time to stay successful. Doesn’t always mean failure. If athletic programs had been being ran like “real” business a long time ago we’d have probably seen more cuts before now. I’m not happy about it, but businesses run off revenue and profit . Charity runs off donations. I’ve been saying this for the last 15 years when not a single wrestling team had a social media presence of actively marketing their programs. Neither was the NCAA tho.
