The boomer instinct towards issues was forged in an age of a nearly homogenous america with a small amount of ethnic minorities, where there was no real prospect of racial demographics shifting and knocking the dominant whites off-balance. The zoomer can't afford such good will.
In all seriousness this is yet another case where MASS immigration makes everything so much worse. In a 95% homogeneous society the occasional outmarriage is a novelty, an oddity that can be blended over generations to "oh yeah, great grandma was Cherokee". Now it's existential.
