I said Longevity matters, not that its the only factor. Gore was never a top 3 RB for any season Tony was the best TE for 10+ years. Gronk was the best TE for 4 years. Gronk to me is similar to Calvin Johnson, he was likely the most talented ever. But injuries + earlish retirement prevent him from being the greatest

Right but my original tweet was in response to this. This argues that hes in the goat convo already even though hes only 29 My point is, its because hes only 29 that hes even in the convo. If he was 35+ or near retirement, he would not be in the goat convo with his current accolades

The argument is "Mahomes has done this already, if this continues he will be the GOAT when he retires" If Mahomes retired today, there is no debate to be had. Its not very close atm
