Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill. After careful consideration & hearing from many constituents & experts, I have decided that I cannot support the Bill. I am sympathetic to the principle of assisted dying but must vote on the Bill as it stands. My full statement below:

Something many choose to forget. @kezdugdale is one very admirable & formidable person-she took on a job no one wanted, stood up to bullies along the way & consistently campaigns for those who need to be heard. She deserves more respect than she gets & I take my hat off to her.
A footnote on the Kezia case. Writing her weekly column actually cost her financially. She donated every penny of her payments to MND charity in memory of Gordon Aikman and ended up stung with a tax bill which she met out of her own pocket. Chuffed for her.

Spoke to a friend whose daughter is on course for 5 "A"s at Highers but unlikely to get into a Scottish University because of the SNP cap on Scots students so likely to go instead to Durham. Why is there not a huge protest at Scots Universities giving priority to non-Scots?.
