Wonderful news, the Creamsicles are definitely cuddling at night now, down on the comfy red pillow. And C2 licked my hand this morning, so sweet. This is all so soul-filling. C2 is comfortable with Charles now too, which is lovely. 🐈🐈 💞💞

So this little cutie (Creamsicle 2) was in our bed again last night, and BOTH Creamsicles were in our room early this morning, joining Angelo and CeCe in suggesting we hurry up on that breakfast. C2 even got up in our bed again to make sure it was working. Amazing!!

Creamsicle 2 hopped up in bed with us last night, joining Angelo, CeCe, Charles and me for pets. Wow! C1 considered joining us, but didn't quite get there. Yet. But he was on the cat tree in the living room, watching the street. Big moves. 💪🔥🐈🐈🔥💪

Creamsicle 1 is a complex being, full of so much love he wants to share but also bound by the protocols of grief to not trust too far, too much or too soon. He lays on our bedroom rug, and sits at the screen door but has yet to jump on the bed. He loves to be petted.

Wonderful news, Creamsicle 1 roamed around the first floor today, inspected everything first in a frenzied way and then mapped out some excellent hiding spots (some of which were prepared with soft stuff) and then came back to his room for a much-needed nap.

Creamsicle 1 vamping in his chair after a nice dinner. He likes to stop eating and groom C2 for a little minute, then go back to eating. Lots of swirling together, head butting and tail twining now. Excitingly, C1 now lets me pet and cuddle him from behind, which is lovely.

C2 mostly out, but C1 still looking daggers from top of wardrobe. Patrick visited today, and he'll try to be back Weds am to help me get him in his carrier for his final vax booster. Picked up gabapentin to help C1 relax. Will bring warm stones in from garden❤

Creamsicle 2 hopped up on my bed last night for some loving and chilling! He acts like he owns the room, but only in the dark. Hmm. C1 is more cautious, easily spooked. He still likes his meals up high, but I'm glad he's switched to the cat tree, because he's easier to pet.

Creamsicle 1 now comes down any time I come in, which is so lovely, and he lets me headbutt him and stroke his soft fur. I long to cuddle him, but there is no rush. C2 is napping in his favorite little basket- he likes his loving once a day in a pet-fest of twining and boops.

The Creamsicles were cuddling on the cat tree this morning. ❤❤When I open the door, C1 goes high, C2 goes low. C2 looked so sweet in the sunshine yesterday! They did fine with the changes in their room (I moved the litterbox) and we hope the vet visit goes well today.

Where we are at! C2 is out and loving (but of course scared and unsure) and C1 is growling from the top of the wardrobe. It will all be fine. But Creamsicle 2 may integrate immediately while C1 takes his time. We will just keep loving him.

Creamsicle 2 is such a sweet boy. I'm stunned that both Creamsicles used the litter box right away, and that they are both so good-natured about being petted. C1 has still not come off of his high horse (the wardrobe) to be loving with C2 but it will happen. ❤🐈🐈❤

Yup we eat together on the floor now. Pix tomorrow, I didn't want to make these first moments about photos, you know, but just to let them happen. So now that I've really seen them together I note their differences. C1 has greeny eyes, C2's are golden. C1 has a fluffy tail base.

Sweet little Creamsicle 2 has a lot of favorite places in the house now. His baskets, our bed, an upstairs guest room (with a secret litterbox) and the soft red chair in his room. He's very affectionate, with just a touch of tough guy. He has a tiny white patch on his forehead.

Creamsicle mealtimes are highlights of the day, as we get to try new cans (C bought a nice assortment of Fancy Feast for them to sample) and it's time to love, pet, tail twine, and headbutt. They like me to stay; if I leave, they may stop eating and wait for me to come back. 💓💓

So today when I was resting with the Creamsicles, our mail carrier came up the walkway to the front door. C2, who could see him, was liquified with fear and dive to the floor, visibly shaking. Even when the footsteps faded away, he was so scared. I picked him up and hugged him.

Last night Creamsicle 1 found a fresh catnip leaf on the rug by our bed and instantly he was high, rolling around on his back heedlessly and then zooming off to bounce off of the walls, then back to roll in the leaf. C2 walked in just as C1 sailed by in the air, squealing.

C2 let me comb him with the little green flea comb. His fur is immaculate and so short that the only thing that comes off of the comb is an impossibly soft, pale down (no fleas). What gorgeous cats these Creamsicles are!

It's easy to pick out Creamsicle 1 at the table, as he is always in Spring position, ready to leap. C2 just hunkers down and enjoys the meal. He rarely finishes his serving, which excites Angelo.

Creamsicle loves to be petted (for a certain amount of time, which varies) but still doesn't come down to play. Angelo and CeCe are putting in the time, though, being present.

Miss CeCe is feeling so much better! She's still a little messy but oh what a relief that she's not suffering. And it was so nice to love on Creamsicle 2 at lunch. We're about to get hammered with a couple of days of big storms and many inches of rain... good luck to all.
